“There is nothing like being able to ski with 100% confidence in your equipment, and that is exactly the feeling you get when you click into your Edgewise-tuned skis. You know that you can go out on any slope and expect the best performance from your skis. I’m not the kind of person that is comfortable letting others touch my equipment but if I could, I would let Edgewise tune them every day for me! Not to mention, the workers at the shop are some of the most experienced, kind, and honest people I have had the honor of meeting. They are always ready to offer advice and tips on tuning.

Every time I cross the border on my way to Edgewise, I get asked “why not just go to a local shop?”. I truthfully respond with “because Edgewise has the best technicians and equipment in the East!”. Even with the drive and the hassle at the border, it is more than worth it.

I have been going to this expert shop since I was 14. Every time I get a new quiver of skis, their first stop is Graham’s at Edgewise. Their quality work in ski prep is unmatched. The grinds are works of art, and the sidewalls are set up just right. My speed skis were rockets this year, winning the Junior National DH championship.

As a member of the Canadian National ski team, I continue to trust Edgewise with my equipment. I will be going back there many times, and recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Edgewise announces sponsorship of T2 Foundation

The following is the text from a recent press release announcing the Edgewise sponsorship of T2 athletes.

October 18, 2012 – Edgewise Elite Ski Service and the T2 Foundation, a non-profit supporting Olympic snow sport athletes, are pleased to announce a new sponsorship. Edgewise, a race service center and race shop in Stowe, VT, will be the Official Service Provider for 29 T2 athletes, competing on the World Cup and NorAm competition circuits. Edgewise’s sponsorship of the T2 Foundation will allow all T2 athletes to have access to free ski preparation and tuning, to help give them an extra edge on the competition.

Over the last decade, Edgewise has become the nation’s premier source for high-quality ski tuning and grinds. The business is busy throughout the year, getting thousands of athletes’ skis ready for snow, including World Cup and NorAm racers, club racers, Masters racers and daily enthusiasts. The T2 Foundation is pleased to be able to offer its athletes their service.

“Our athletes can really benefit from this sponsorship, whether they need help dialing in a new pair of skis, or they need mid-season grinds, or if they want to send a bunch of their skis in before a big race series. To have Edgewise offering them free service is just awesome and we’re happy to be associated with them,” Marina Knight, T2’s Director, said.

On the dawn of his World Cup debut, Robby Kelley, a former UVM standout and current member of the U.S. Ski Team, sent his GS skis to Edgewise to get prepped for the giant slalom in Soelden, Austria later this month.

Graham Lonetto, founder and owner of Edgewise, says, “We are thrilled with the new relationship between the T2 Foundation and Edgewise. T2 is one of our sport’s leading support systems for our country’s elite snow sport athletes. Kelly Brush Ride Wrap-Up

Huge thanks to those of you who helped support Team Edgewise on the Kelly Brush Ride. We raised almost $5000 as a team, putting us in 7^th place for team fundraising. We had a great crew of riders including Travis Apple, Gary Cole, Jeff Clark, Evan and Kristi Lovell, Elizabeth Brown, Clark Colon, and RB, Anne and Ingrid Klinkenberg. Liz, Kristi, Evan, and Clark rode the full 100 miles, and our youngest rider, Ingrid, 15, rode 50 (and was a top fundraiser too). Looking forward to doing it again next year! Check out some of the photos of a fun day!

When we went to Austria and Italy to see the Wintersteiger Race NC, we saw it both in the factory and in use at VueRich Service in Predazzo, Italy. Davide has been using the machine since its development, and uses it to prep skis for National Team athletes all over Europe.

We were so thrilled to have him come to Vermont to stay with us for a few days to share his knowledge with our staff and make sure our Race NC is capable of the highest levels of precision. We also had a blast showing him around town…
